Dr Talal Abu-Ghazaleh is the founder and Chairman/CEO of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization, the largest group of professional services in the Arab world with 73 offices in 29 countries, and over 180 offices worldwide. The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization provides a wide variety of professional services for all the business needs including auditing, valuation, management consulting, ICT development, business advice, training, educational consultancy, human resources development, real estate consulting, translation, legal service and intellectual property issues.
Dr Abu-Ghazaleh was appointed a member of the Jordanian Upper House in November 2010. He was also elected as a Co-Chairman of the Global Challenges Forum in Geneva.
He is a great contributor to socioeconomic development in the Arab world, and developing nations in general. He has served as the chairman and vice chairman of many international organizations including the United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UN GAID); UN ICT Task Force; the Arab-Asian Knowledge Society; the International Chamber of Commerce Commission on E-Business; Information Technologies and Telecoms; the UN Global Compact; and the UN Intergovernmental Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting. He is the founder and chairman of the Arab Society of Certified Accountants; the Arab Knowledge Management Society; the Arab Society for Intellectual Property; the Licensing Executives Society – Arab Countries and the Arab Intellectual Mediation Society.
He set up the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business at the German-Jordanian University in 2006 and is also establishing two private business universities in Amman, Jordan and in Bahrain.
He earned a degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut and a Doctorate in Humane Letters from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. He has received many honours in his career including the Decoration of the Republic of Tunisia, the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur of the Republic of France, and the Decoration of Independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
