Professor Richard Gibb is Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom.
He Heads one of the largest Science and Technology faculties in the UK, with over 8,000 students. It is well known for its teaching excellence and world-class research.
Prof. Gibb is a Professor of Geography and has published several books, numerous international journals and has been the recipient of several research grants. He has published widely on various aspects of economic cooperation and integration, including the European Union’s relations with former colonial territories. His current research focuses on economic development in Africa, with a particular focus on regional economic integration in southern Africa.
As well as being a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, he is a Research Fellow of the South African Institute of International Affairs and a Research Associate of the Brenthurst Foundation, dedicated to the economic empowerment and growth of African states through private-sector led growth.
