Kenneth P Pasternak

Ken Pasternak has a unique background that combines 35 years in management development, institution building and corporate banking. During the past 15 years he has focused on leadership development, building teams and effective communication.
He is Executive Director of BankT&D Consulting that assists banks and other organizations in emerging economies to implement their business strategies. Previously, he was Director of Education and Training for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, London. Prior to that worked at Citibank for 18 years in various assignments around the world. He has advised private and public sector leaders across Europe, USA, central and eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and China.
He is co-author of Performance at the Limit, Business Lessons from Formula 1 Motor Racing, which explores how to build sustainable performance in highly competitive business environments. He also co-authored Managing Your Strengths, a practical methodology for understanding yourself and offering strategies for improving personal effectiveness and communication.
He has taught on Executive MBA programs at Helsinki University of Technology (now Aalto University) and Copenhagen Business School. He has been a Board Member and instructor at the Joint Vienna Institute since its establishment twenty years ago. In 1997 he was awarded the title of Academician of the Russian Federation for his efforts in creating a country-wide network of training and business support centres. He is a member of the International Council of the American Management Association and the Academy of Management.
He is a graduate of Yale University.
