Jehan-Eric Blumereau

Jehan-Eric Blumereau holds a Doctorate in Law (Paris University) and graduated in Political Science and International Relations. He has spent most of his career working for the French oil company Total, in France, South America and the Middle East.

From 1998-2003, he was Chief Representative of Total in the UAE, where he was involved in different educational projects and helped create the Abu-Dhabi Petroleum Institute, as a member of its first governing board. Later he was in charge of Total’s European Union Affairs, acting as a lobbyist at the European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg.

He is now Vice President of Total Professeurs Associés, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing lectures of oil and energy experts into Universities and Grandes Ecoles in over 50 countries. He also invests part of his time at the IFP School (Institut Français du Pétrole et des Energies Nouvelles). Since 1995, he has been foreign trade advisor to the French government.
